Character Information
|
Giacomo Casanova was a Venetian adventurer and author.
History[edit]
When Homer was dying, he imagined Mona Simpson going to him. Mona asked Homer if he was ready to join her in the afterlife. Homer told his mother to take him to the "good place," but Mona revealed that she was actually in Hell because they were very hard on former left-wing radicals in the afterlife. Mona then said that she was with incredible people, including Giacomo Casanova. Mona then swooned over Casanova, who had been stabbed with multiple pitchforks. Casanova then said that he thought dying in 1798 would keep him from being "MeToo'd."[1]
Casanova has become slang for a great seducer and "Casanova" is the best result on the Love Tester in Moe's Tavern.
As part of his sales pitch Abe Simpson calls Simpson & Son Revitalizing Tonic, "Catalytically carbonated Casanova."[2]
