Dr. H. Boyle is a hair specialist who works at the Hair Clinic at the Springfield Mall.
History[edit]
Homer met Dr. Boyle when he saw an ad for the hair restoration product Dimoxinil on television and visited the Hair Clinic to ask about buying Dimoxinil. However, he was devastated when Boyle informed him that Dimoxinil cost $1,000, and had to turn Boyle down because he couldn't afford it. Boyle then tried to sell Homer "Hair in a Drum", a much cheaper and much less effective alternative, but Homer rejected that product as well.
After Lenny gave Homer the idea to charge the Dimoxinil to the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's health insurance plan, Homer returned to the Hair Clinic and told Dr. Boyle he wanted to do just that. Boyle first loudly reprimanded Homer, telling him that no insurance plan in the state would cover something as frivolous as Dimoxinil. But immediately after that, Boyle turned on a stereo, put some music on and turned up the volume. Whispering underneath the music, Boyle told Homer to meet him in the alley in fifteen minutes and to come alone. Boyle then secretly sold Homer the Dimoxinil in the back alley behind the mall.
