Tango 14 was a fighter jet.

History

After Groundskeeper Willie fired a shotgun at the escaping Buttzilla balloon, one of the fighter jets called the Tango 14 reported that it was “being fired at” and mistakenly identified Willie as an Iraqi fighter jet. During the confused response, Sidewinder missiles were launched, and both aircraft were accidentally destroyed while the balloon escaped unharmed.
