History

When Groundskeeper Willie and Maisie MacWeldon decided to run away to America together, they were going to board the HMS Romantic. However, Maisie's family told her that Willie had been killed by a sheep, so she never went to meet up with him. Willie then took the ship to America alone and heartbroken.

Behind the Laughter

In reality, the designation HMS is reserved for warships. Additionally, the ship is a Carnival Cruise Line design (as evidenced by the winged funnel), which is not British.
