The LZ 129 Hindenburg was an airship that caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock on May 6, 1937.

History

A poster featuring the album artwork of Led Zeppelin album was seen, which featured a black-and-white image of the burning Hindenburg airship.

The filmstrip that Mr. Burns used to train Santa's Little Helper as a killer included a clip of the Hindenburg exploding.

Bart got a Hindenburg-themed checkbook from the bank, and it had the words "Oh, the humanity!" printed on top.

The Hindenburg disaster was published in the Herald.

The color picture on the back wall behind Lisa at the Cafe Kafka was of the Hindenburg disaster.
