The colonel is a baker and former army colonel in Springfield.
History
After Lisa made a wish on the monkey paw for world peace, all violent jobs were stopped. When Kang and Kodos arrived on Earth to enslave the people in Springfield, Apu told the colonel to do something about it. However, the colonel said that he was now a baker.
Behind the Laughter
The closed captions on the DVD refers to him as "Gordon".
