Huckleberry Finn (also called "Huck" for short) was a young boy in the 19-century USA.

History

Milhouse as Huckleberry Finn.

The singing railroad hobo told a story about Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. Huck and Tom were told to paint a fence, but they managed to bully the other children into doing it for them. Meanwhile, Huck and Becky Thatcher ended up holding hands, which caused Becky's father Judge Thatcher to force them to marry each other. During the wedding, Huck got a pig to replace him as he and Tom Sawyer escaped down the Mississippi River. Huck and Tom then both became wanted criminals.

After the pair escaped to Missoura, they visited a local shop for supplies. After leaving the shop, they found out they were wanted. The townspeople then found them and chased them down the river once more. Huck and Tom tried to escape on a boat but were discovered and captured as they fell into the river. They were then taken back to town where they were executed for their crimes before being lowered into coffins.

Huck also appeared in a daydream Bart had. Bart and Huck were floating downriver on a raft, and Bart said that it was "what being a kid [was] all about", when Abraham Lincoln appeared. Bart asked Huck what Lincoln was doing there, and Huck replied, "I dunno. It's your fantasy."

Milhouse played Huckleberry Finn in Bart and Lisa's play Adventures in Mark Twain's America. In the play, Huck went to meet Tom Sawyer. Later, he told Tom Sawyer that Becky had been kidnapped by Injun Apu. Huck and Finn went to confront Apu at Injun Apu's Hideout and fought against him with lightsabers. After they beat him, Injun Apu set giant space worms on Huck and Finn.

Behind the Laughter

As Lisa points out before the story begins, the story of Tom and Huck and the townspeople isn't an actual tall tale, but a story that the hobo tells based on Mark Twain's story about The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
