Chester Alan Arthur was the 21st President of the United States, serving from 1881-1885. He was elected Vice President and succeeded to the Presidency when James A. Garfield was assassinated.

History[edit]

He was portrayed by a student in Springfield Elementary's Presidents' Day play. In the play, John Wilkes Booth (Bart Simpson) started to chase him after he killed Abraham Lincoln.[1]

A picture of him was seen in a book that Superintendent Chalmers showed Bart, before Bart developed an interest in Theodore Roosevelt.[2]

An animatronic of Chester A. Arthur was seen in the Hall of Vice Presidents at Kissimmee St. Nick Theme Park and Resort.[3]
