History
Homer said while he looked through a View-Master, "Ooh, a gingerbread house. Hansel and Gretel are set for life." and "Boy, that Hansel sure can eat.[1]
Bart was playing a violent video game, but Marge reprimanded him, "Don't play that in front of Maggie. She'll have nightmares." Marge then pulled out a storybook with Hansel and Gretel on the cover as she believed it would be more appropriate and read aloud to Maggie, ""Hansel shoved the blood-covered witch into the oven. Mr. Burns and Waylon Smithers had Hansel and Gretel captured in cages. Hansel asked Mr. Burns why he wasn't fattening them up and Burns said that he liked children stringy and tough.[3]
