Cultural references

• The episode title is a reference to the film The Banshees of Inisherin.
  • Mrs. McCormick, the mysterious old woman on the island from the film, appears in the episode.
• The DJ residency billboards include references to:
  • Nostra Drum-Bass is a reference to Nostradamus and the drum and bass electronic dance music (EDM) genre. The zodiac symbols around the sun link to astrology, which Nostradamus heavily used.
  • Wolfgang Von Bassdrop is a reference to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the music technique of bass drop, also popular in EDM. The technique is later mentioned throughout the episode.
