Season 27 is the twenty-seventh broadcast season of The Simpsons. It originally ran on Fox from September 27, 2015, with "Every Man's Dream", to May 22, 2016, with "Orange Is the New Yellow". The season was mostly made up of production season VABF episodes, with seven rollover episodes from production season TABF also airing. Al Jean served as the showrunner for most of the season, with Matt Selman serving as the showrunner for TABF17, TABF22, VABF03, and VABF09.

On May 4, 2015, FOX announced that The Simpsons had been renewed for seasons 27 and 28.[1]

Homer recalls a tense family vacation to the Grand Canyon with the Flanders family. At first, the Flanders' perfection puts the families at odds, but when they get stranded and Ned and Homer go for help, the families finally bond.

After promising Marge the trip of a lifetime, frugality gets the better of Homer when he makes a deal with a travel agent to be a courier of a secret package in exchange for a discounted family vacation to Paris. Upon arrival, he finds the package is an endangered snake, and he and Lisa decide to save it.
