Waylon Smithers, Jr. went to see Ken Griffey, Jr. to ask him to come work at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant so that he could join the softball team. He was the new lunchroom cashier for the Power Plant. When Bart and Ralph were picking players for a softball game, Ralph picks Ken Griffey, Jr. Griffey Jr. later becomes addicted to Brain & Nerve Tonic and has a huge overdose, causing him to get the side effect of gigantism and causing him to miss the final game against Shelbyville.[1]
He is also one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[2]
