Dialogue[edit]

Good lord, where am I? Wherever this is, it sure looks...needy.
Oh, this must be a test! What's that, Lord? You want me to clean this place up in your honor? Consider it done!
You there, you look like you're...needy. Perhaps I could assist in the name of the Almighty?
I don't need any assistance in anybody's name. I could buy this town if I wanted to.
Of course you could. But in the meantime, let me guide you on a new path.
Specifically the path to a neighboring town with better social programs for the...needy.
Task: "Make Cyrus Manley Send Lampwick to Shelbyville". The job takes place at the First Church of Springfield, Mega Church, Springfield Episcopal Church, or a Brown House and takes 4 hours. |
Now that vagrancy is down, what else can I do to clean this town up in His name?
I know! I'll get the people who can actually afford church donations to attend Sunday's service. Time to go door to door.
*answering door* Hi diddly-oh there, fella. What can I do ya for?
Greetings! Might I have a moment of your time to regale you with the wonders of our Lord?
Well now I was just going to regale you with the same thing! Come on in and make yourself at home.
The boys and I were just about to play our favorite multiplayer online game, "God is Among Us".
| Task: "Make Cyrus Manley Play With Ned and the Boys". The job takes place at Flanders House or a Brown House and takes 8 hours.
Golly, Cyrus. That's an awfully powerful way to win the game by smashing all our phones, but if it's all in the name of the Lord...
It was. Those devices you call phones are nothing but the work of the devil.
Yeah, the ones from Mapple sure are.
Well, I'd best get going. I still have many a door to knock on if I'm gonna fill the pews this Sunday.
Okely-dokely. We'll be there too.
Though we may have less money for the collection plate since we all need new phones.

That Cyrus fella sure is a heck of a Christian.
Is it Christian to let someone be more Christian than yourself? On the other hand, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Christianity."
I better up my game just to be safe. Time for a Christian-off! Rod. Todd. Get your towels, we're hosting a community feet-washing drive!
Yaaay!
I'll use Mommy's perfume just like Mary Magdelene did!
*getting choked up* That – makes me cry – for several reasons.
Hey there, sorry to bother you again. But did I leave a towel here? I'm hosting a feet-washing drive.
God bless it!
Task: "Make Cyrus Manley Search for His Towel". The job takes place at Flanders House or a Brown House and takes 8 hours. If Ned is owned: Task: "Make Ned Get Out-Christian-ed". The job takes place at Flanders House or a Brown House and takes 8 hours.

Before we conclude today's service, I need to thank a few of you for your exemplary community service.
First, Ned Flanders opened his house to the homeless.
My new roommate smells like the dog park!
Ned, you are the embodiment of the phrase "Do unto others..."
Just doing what any good Christian would do when provoked... *stares at Cyrus* ...by a burning desire to help.
And most impressively, Cyrus Manley, who built a whole block of houses for the homeless.
Just doing what any man would do if he had an unrealistically large torso and extraordinary upper body strength.
Blast it all to heck!
Task: "Make Cyrus Manley Enjoy the Community's Admiration". The job takes place at the First Church of Springfield, Mega Church, Springfield Episcopal Church, or a Brown House and takes 4 hours. If Ned is owned: Task: "Make Ned Complain to Lovejoy". The job takes place at the First Church of Springfield, Mega Church, Springfield Episcopal Church, or a Brown House and takes 4 hours.

Reverend, I'm getting whiplash turning the other cheek. Cyrus is hogging all the good deeds!
Let me get this straight. Instead of being happy for everything righteous that Cyrus has done, you're jealous because he's doing more good deeds than you?
Exactly!
*sigh* Listen, Ned. We are all equal in the Lord's eyes. You, me, Cyrus...
Even that lady that throws cats at people?
Truly, some are more equal than others... But remember, when you and Cyrus are doing the Lord's work, you are not in competition.
Hey, Reverend, here are your car keys. I just finished waxing it like you asked.
Reverend Lovejoy?!
Yes, well... I'm sorry Ned, when you and Cyrus are doing MY work, you are NO competition.
| Task: "Make Cyrus Manley Detail Lovejoy's Car". The job takes place at the First Church of Springfield, Mega Church, Springfield Episcopal Church, or a Brown House and takes 4 hours.
Quest reward: 200 and 20

Behind the Laughter[edit]
The quest name is a reference to the phrase "thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" from the Book of Leviticus.
