Herschel Krustofsky's Clown-Related Entertainment Show was a low-budget television program that Krusty was forced to produce under IRS control after his tax fraud was exposed.
History[edit]
After the IRS took control of Krusty's show, Tom Stovak, an IRS agent, helped enforce the budget cuts behind the scenes. The show had to operate without expensive sets, props, costumes, or Sideshow Mel. During the program, Krusty asked someone to give him a banana cream pie for a traditional pie-in-the-face gag, but he was told they could not afford one. Krusty then asked the audience to throw something instead, and Tom Stovak threw his briefcase directly at Krusty's face.
