- Burger Reynolds and Princess Fry are parodies of Burt Reynolds and Princess Diana, commonly referred to as "Princess Di", respectively.
- Selma gives Patty's full name as "Patricia Agatha Cruella Bouvier." Her middle names are a reference to Agatha Harkness from Marvel Comics and Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians.
- El Yogo Loco is a parody of the restaurant chain El Pollo Loco.
- When trying to find a job at El Yogo Loco, Patty says she can work remotely on Thursdays via Zoom.
