Julie Sharp is a reporter for Action News. She specializes in myths and the paranormal.
History
When Moe was contemplating suicide, Grampa, in Moe's Love Tester, came up with an idea. He had Moe call Julie Sharp to tell her about his haunted Love Tester for a news story in an attempt to get Moe to hook up with Julie. Julie was excited to find that his Love Tester was really haunted, as it would win her an award. However, she asked Moe why he called her instead of any other journalist. Moe told Julie that he had been watching her since she moderated the board of education debates last year, then she hosted a Sunday series on the great national parks and rivers of the southwest, and she used to be Produce Patty, the Vegetable Lady for Eye on Springfield. Julie did not realize that Moe was reading all of this from note cards and thought Moe was a fan.
Julie told Moe that she wanted to have a serious in-depth interview with him back at her place and went to use the Love Tester to show how sure she was about spending time with him. However, a lightning bolt struck Moe's Tavern, and her soul swapped with Grampa's soul. Grampa, now in Julie's body, pulled away from Moe, which damaged Moe's self-esteem. Wanting to stop Moe from going through with suicide, Grampa robbed Moe's cash register, so Moe stabbed him, killing Julie's body. Despite this, Moe was let off the hook and the murder was deemed justified. However, Grampa's soul got transferred into the cash register, while Julie's was still in the Love Tester.
