Charlotte is a fictional spider in the children's book Charlotte's Web.
History
Homer had a can of spider poison labeled "Charlotte's Dead". Charlotte and Wilbur both appeared on the can.[1]
Lisa read the story of Charlotte's Web in her class. In the story, after Charlotte saved Wilbur, she crawled off to die in an empty fairground.[2]
In a dream Homer had, young Dolph said that he had three tear tattoos below his eye to symbolize all the times he had cried. Young Kearney told Dolph that he told him not to read Charlotte's Web. Dolph asked how he was supposed to know that spiders had such short lifespans. Dolph and Kearney then fought, with Dolph telling Kearney to keep Charlotte's name out of his mouth.[3]
