Nuthatch was Bart Simpson's alias when he was a sidekick to Fruit Bat Man.

History

When Mr. Burns wanted a sidekick for Fruit Bat Man, he had Smithers drive him around town to look for a child to become his sidekick. He saw Bart and kidnapped him, taking him back to the Fruit Bat Cave. Bart was reluctant to agree to become his sidekick until Smithers threatened to fire Homer, which would mean no more allowance for Bart. Bart then reluctantly agreed to be Fruit Bat Man's sidekick, being given the name of Nuthatch.

Fruit Bat Man, Nuthatch, and Smithers went out driving to look for crimes to stop. After accidentally running over an old woman trying to cross the street, Fruit Bat Man was pulled over by the police. Chief Wiggum brought Bart back to the Springfield Police Station because Homer and Marge had reported him missing, and Bart stopped being Nuthatch.

Behind the Laughter

Nuthatch is a parody of Batman's sidekick, Robin. A Nuthatch is also a species of bird.
