The Springfield Downs, also known as the Springfield Dog Track,[1] is a dog and horse racing track in Springfield. The mechanized rabbit is called Screwy. It has a V.I.P. Bar.

The downs is where Santa's Little Helper used to race.[2]
The downs was featured during the opening credits of Kent Brockman's Eye on Springfield.[3][4]
After escaping from the Simpson family's car shortly after a visit to the Springfield Pet Shop, Santa's Little Helper returned to the Springfield Dog Track. While there, he interrupted a race by running onto the track and pursuing a female racing dog, She's the Fastest, an event that revealed the two dogs had become attached. Her owner subsequently gave the greyhound to the Simpson family, explaining that racing dogs who fall in love lose their competitive spirit.[1]
After Simpson family adopted Duncan, they had him race at the Springfield Downs. At first, Duncan was too intimidated to race but later became successful after being given a makeover and becoming "Furious D".[5]
