America the Beautiful
- Monsters represent several events:
- A werewolf represents the trade wars.
- Frankenstein's Monster represents Preferred gender pronoun.
- Death represents the 2025 Southwest United States measles outbreak.
- The Onion's political cartoonist, Stan Kelly, has a cartoon bubble saying "The Watching Dead", a reference to the TV series The Walking Dead.
Chubbo and the Stinker
- The segment is a parody of Jaws and The Blob.
- The title and promo image parody Smokey and the Bandit.
- Quimby's outfit is based on Mayor Vaughn's in Jaws.
