- The episode title is a reference to the movie The Many Saints of Newark.
- Among the things seen inside the couch in the "Stoopid Buddy Stoodios Couch Gag":
- "Requiem in D Minor" by Mozart plays over the title card.
- "It's Bad You Know" by R. L. Burnside plays during the montage of threats against Ned.
- The pork store next door to the Legitimate Businessman's Social Club is a reference to Satriale's Pork Store, the mob hangout in Newark, New Jersey in The Sopranos.
- Fat Tony refers to Legs and Louie as "Mr. Rude and Dr. Jerkov", a reference to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
- Ned asks Fat Tony if he is a "good fella", a reference to the movie Goodfellas, and a "wise guy", a reference to the book Wiseguy.
- Ned and Fat Tony sing "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. The stage of lattice wall and flowers are a reference to the opening wedding scene of The Godfather.

- Comic Book Guy says a prayer in the Klingon language from Star Trek.
