- The episode title is a reference to the 1953 movie From Here to Eternity.
- The Duff Beer advert song "I'd Like to Pour the World a Beer" is a parody of the Coca-Cola advertising song "Buy the World a Coke", which in turn was a parody of the song "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" by The Hillside Singers.
- The concert goers in the '90s have shirts for Sound Jam and Pearl Garden, parodies of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
