Dean Martin was an American singer and actor.

History

When Homer said that in showbiz, what goes up, must go down, Dean Martin was one of the names Bart and Lisa mentioned that flawed this, along with Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones.^[1]

When Bart and Homer were talking about Dean Martin, Bart stated that Wikipedia said that Martin was passionate about rehearsal. Homer replied that they would change Wikipedia when they got home.^[3]

Marge sang one of Dean's hit, "Hey Brother, Pour the Wine", in "There's No Disgrace Like Home". Homer sang another of his songs, "That's Amore", in "Them, Robot".
The reunion of Krusty and Sideshow Mel in "Krusty Gets Kancelled" is a reference to the 1976 on-air reunion between Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin on the former's annual telethon. annual telethon.
