Homer Simpson, better known as the D'ohker, was a criminal in Darkham City. He is a version of Homer Simpson as imagined by Marge when she thought about what life would be like if Homer was always smiling.
History
Homer Simpson had a medical condition that resulted in him having uncontrollable bouts of laughter. He lived in a run-down house in Darkham City with his father, Abraham Simpson, where he watched The Late Evening Program with Krusty the Clown. Social services set Homer up with a job as an unlicensed Krusty impersonator at Clown 4 U, which Homer was excited about since it meant he could have a job where the uncontrollable laughter wouldn't result in people judging him. However, Homer was still looked down on and bullied by people. When he unintentionally laughed at Nelson, Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney, the bullies took him into an alley and beat him up before kicking him down a staircase.
When Homer woke up in hospital, The Late Evening Program with Krusty the Clown was on television. Krusty was talking about Homer's attack at the hands of the bullies, but then called it hilarious and had the bullies as guests on the show. Krusty continued to belittle Homer and even played the tape of Homer falling down the stairs. Homer became distraught that his hero would do this to him and asked why he did it, only for Krusty to open the curtains to his bed and laugh at him. Homer attacked the clown with an oxygen canister and brutally beat him, only for Krusty to turn out to really be The Rich Texan and Homer had just imagined him as Krusty. As Homer went to leave the hospital, he was knocked unconscious by Chief Wiggum and taken to Darkham Asylum.
After this incident, Homer became known as the D'ohker. In Darkham Asylum, the D'ohker met Margely Quinn who revealed that many people wanted to be him, then got him to look outside at a large crowd wearing Krusty outfits who were there in support of him. Margely told D'ohker that his cause was to get back at everyone who hurt him in this whole rotten society, and he would do it with a smile. D'ohker and Margely then broke out of the prison and escaped with all the other inmates.
D'ohker, Margely Quinn, and D'ohker's fans went to Krustylu Studios to kill Krusty. They drove a bus through the wall of the studio and everyone disembarked the bus and beat Krusty to death. However, when the henchmen saw D'ohker and Margely Quinn making out and telling each other they loved them, they quickly turned on the pair as they were happy and the D'ohker had a girlfriend and beat them to death too.
Behind the Laughter
D'ohker is a parody of Arthur Fleck/The Joker from Joker and Joker: Folie à Deux.
