The Star of Ankara is a Turkish freighter. It's name is a reference to Turkey's capital city, Ankara.
History
Bart and Lisa accidently crashed Homer's RV onto the ship, while they were trying to take it back to the dealership. The ship's captain lets Homer and Marge onboard the ship so they can get Bart, Lisa and the RV.
According to the captain, the ship was hauling DVDs of the first season of Northern Exposure to Kahramanmaraş, despite the fact that the city is completely land-locked.
