Elmo is a kids TV show character.
History
Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, and he were part of the crowd chasing Homer.[1]
Maggie also had a tickle-me toy of Elmo that Moe and Maggie tickled too much, so it slapped Moe.[2]
He was a prisoner at the Ronald Reagan Reeducation Center. He was wrongly imprisoned there because he went to the wrong fundraiser. Elmo couldn't take prison life in here anymore, so he eventually committed suicide by hanging himself with a noose.[3]
