Synopsis[edit]
- Traffic gets backed up through Evergreen Terrace thanks to the Wayz app directing drivers through the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Moe meets up with his former love, Maya, and the two start dating again.
Plot[edit]
In the prehistoric era, Neanderthalian Springfielders are shown in the evolution of mankind, inventing transportation and Homer "inventing" the first traffic jam right after the invention of the wheel. In the modern era, a traffic jam is seen in front of the Simpson house. Inside, even Homer and Marge's affection time is affected.
In the traffic jam, Moe is depressed and sees someone familiar in his rearview mirror, then starts running away. The traffic jam appears to be caused by the app Wayz, and Marge calls for a neighborhood meeting. However, the neighbors mention that the problem is the family.
Trying to solve the problem so the others will reconsider, Homer tries contacting Wayz, but fails after having to complete numerous CAPTCHA checks and being put 5,700th in the hold queue. Meanwhile, Moe discovers that the person behind him was his long-lost love, Maya, and falls in love with her again but avoids saying it, afraid that the relationship will end like his past ones whenever he says "I love you."
At Frink's house, the family asks for Professor Frink's help with the situation. He proposes making the street disappear from the database, which solves the traffic issue but causes people to like Homer too much. Meanwhile, Moe, troubled by the fear of being left by Maya again, takes refuge in Bart's treehouse.
To resolve things, Homer suggests Moe propose to her. He finds Maya packing to leave again, but before it is too late, he proposes and she accepts. Moe then tries to take her to dinner at Luigi's using a free meal ticket, but the ticket is expired.
