Avatar is a 2009 American science fiction film written, directed and produced by James Cameron. It has been referenced in The Simpsons multiple times.

The quote is a reference to four sequels having been planned as of the episode's original airdate, but little being known about their intended plotlines.

When Homer tells her that it's coming and she needs to have faith, Marge tells him he sounds like James Cameron. She then laments, "What if we never see Pandora again? The real unobtanium is the sequel", referring to the mineral from the first movie.
35	759	"Murder, She Boat"	A volleyball game of people dressed as Na'vi from James Cameron's Avatar vs. people dressed as characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender is seen on the Pacific Princess Leia. Database, Database's father, and E-mail are dressed as Na'vi.
