  • In a previous episode, "Homer Goes to College", when Bart learned that Mr. Burns wanted Homer to go to college, he asked, "Barber or Clown?"
  • This episode contained Matt Groening's idea that Krusty was secretly Homer, due to their appearances.
  • Some of the things Krusty burns to light his cigarettes are: a $100 bill, an Action Comics #1, and a pearl necklace.

Goofs

  • As Krusty showcases the amusing location names, the word "Seattle" has an "A" after it for a couple of frames.
  • When Homer first arrives at Milhouse's birthday party, in the first two scenes, Janey is off-model and colored in the normal Simpsons yellow. Wendell is also yellow instead of his usual white.
  • When Chief Wiggum pulls Homer over but lets him off the hook thinking he is Krusty, Wiggum has black hair.
  • When Krusty and Homer spin in the loop, Don Vittorio's hair is the same color as Fat Tony's.
