The Buckeye Belle is a riverboat used for leisure cruises along the Ohio River.
History
After Springfield Elementary School got closed down, Gary Chalmers went on a cruise onboard The Buckeye Belle to try and get together with widows. On the ship, he was talking to a woman who lost her husband.
Behind the Laughter
Riverboats are associated with the Mississippi and the South, so the name is a play on the term Southern Belle with Ohio's nickname, the Buckeye state.
