When Chief Wiggum dealt with a report from a person that reported liquor store robbery with an officer down he said ironically to the person "sure", and I'm Edward G. Robinson and hung up the phone.[1]

The Itchy & Scratchy short, "Dogday Hellody of 1933" features several famous 1930s Hollywood actors as caricatures: Edward G. Robinson, Will Rogers, Bing Crosby, W.C. Fields and Harpo Marx. [2]

When Homer was killing celebrities, they came down from Celebrity Heaven and Edward G. Robinson said to Chief Wiggum "You ripped me off, see?" Chief Wiggum replied with "No, I didn't, see?" Edward than said "You're gonna pay for what you done, see?" and than shot Chief Wiggum in the stomach. Wiggum than said "I always thought I'd die of hepatitis [short silence], see?".[3]
