James Earl Jones is an actor.

History

After Lisa Simpson succeeded in having Bleeding Gums Murphy's music broadcast across Springfield, she saw Murphy appear in the clouds above the city. As he thanked her for preserving his musical legacy, he was unexpectedly joined by cloud-like appearances of Mufasa, Darth Vader, and James Earl Jones identifying himself with the phrase "This is CNN."^[1]

He was the voice of the Magic Taco in The Poke of Zorro.^[2]

James Earl Jones was a recurring guest star on The Simpsons. He died aged 93 on September 9, 2024 in his home in Dutchess County, New York. In his appearance, he was voiced by Harry Shearer.
