Holiday Information
|
Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31st.
History[edit]
Before Halloween, Homer Simpson invested most of his money in pumpkin futures, believing pumpkin prices would continue rising after the holiday season. Confident that the investment would make him rich, he celebrated at Moe's Tavern and boasted about his financial success. However, shortly after Halloween, the pumpkin market collapsed as jack-o'-lanterns rotted and demand disappeared, causing Homer to lose his savings and fall behind on his mortgage payments. The financial disaster forced him to search desperately for extra work and loans to support his family.[1]
