After Homer asked to look at the tombstone of Mona Simpson, he discovered that it is Walt Whitman's. He then started to kick the tombstone.[1]
Martin Prince had a book by Walt Whitman. Later, Apu mentioned Whitman in the poem he recited at McBean's Coffee House.[2]
When it was the Simpson family's reading night, Lisa read a book by Walt Whitman.[3]
