Bart, Milhouse, Martin, and Nelson watched an Andy Williams concert in Branson while on a road trip to Knoxville. According to Bart, Homer said Branson is "just like Vegas... if it were run by Ned Flanders"[1]
Bart travels to Branson with Grampa, who was attempting to win back Zelda's love.[2]
In 1962, Krusty was hired by Mort "The Murderer" Murderosi" to perform 1,000 shows at the Las Vegas casino Nero's Trough, and quickly accepted the deal. He became the only entertainer in Las Vegas history to have his own slot machine, which occasionally paid out. Eventually, as the run ended, he moved on to Branson, Missouri, knowing that in show business, you have to adapt or fall behind.[3]
