Joe's Tavern is the local bar in Shelbyville. It is owned by a Shelbyvillian version of Moe Szyslak, the owner of Springfield's better-known bar Moe's Tavern.
History[edit]
After infiltrating a group of Shelbyville children while searching for Springfield's stolen lemon tree, Bart Simpson accompanied them to the Shelbyville Bluffs, where they planned to paint a large anti-Springfield message visible from the neighboring town. Bart instead revealed his identity and painted a pro-Springfield slogan, "Springfield Rules Suckers!." The Shelbyville children immediately gave chase, prompting Bart to escape on a skateboard.
Racing through Shelbyville, Bart navigated a series of obstacles at the Shelbyville Construction Co. site, including barriers, a swinging wrecking ball, and a large pipe, while Shelby pursued him closely on another skateboard. The chase continued past the local Speed-E-Mart, Joe's Tavern, and Shelbyville Elementary School.
