Joe Quimby, Sr. is the father of Joe Quimby.
History
Joe Quimby was his first legitimate child. Joe Sr. also has children with Agnes Moorehead and, later, with all of his son's nannies. In 1961 Joe Quimby, Sr. mysteriously disappeared. His body was found a decade later, marooned in a sand trap on the back nine.
At one time, it was mentioned that the Springfield Mall was in a dilapidated state due to the mayor's dad being murdered there.[1]
