Gabriel is an archangel who serves as the personal messenger of God.
History[edit]
After Mary told Joseph that she was pregnant, even though she was a virgin, Gabriel appeared to them and explained that Mary was going to give birth to the Son of God, Jesus. After Jesus was born, he turned the water into wine. When some Saint Joseph drank it, he wanted to kill him, but she appeared again and said to him that he must live until he was 33.
