Rick Steves is an American travel writer, activist, and television personality.
History[edit]
When Homer realized that he didn't have a legacy he'd leave behind when he died, he had a dream involving Rick Steves. Homer was surprised as Homer didn't know who he was, but Steves told Homer that Lisa would watch his show every Sunday night and Homer fell asleep every time. In the dream, Steves told Homer that the dream was of the future and there were statues of many people of Springfield who had made a difference. Homer asked where his statue was, but Steves told him that he didn't have one because he had never done anything worth remembering. After Homer said that he bet Lenny didn't have a statue, Steves revealed that they were on a giant statue of Lenny as Lenny had invented invisible suspenders. Steves then asked Homer if he had donated to PBS, and Homer yelled "Never!" before waking up.
In the episode of Steves' show Lisa was watching, Steves was on a train to Montrachet. He said that it was the best place for a perfect gratin dauphinois.
