Robert Mills was an American architect, known for designing the Washington Monument. He is a member of Homer Simpson's Lazy Hall of Fame.

Homer includes Mills in The Lazy Hall of Fame for "[putting] so little thought and effort into designing a monument", yet getting a lot of money for it.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
Robert Mills (1781-1855) designed the Washington Monument in real life. His design was the winner in a competition held in 1836 and the prize was $500, equivalent to about $12,500 in 2013 when Homer Simpson's Little Book of Laziness was published.
