Meeting tomorrow?[edit]
Okay everyone, I know this is short notice but could we have a meeting tomorrow? I would like one before January as I have some stuff to discuss now. So, is tomorrow normal time okay? The Solar Dragon 11:33, 19 December 2011 (EST)
- Yep! Phinbart - just one of the huge Bart fans! 11:36, 19 December 2011 (EST)
- It works for me. /AleWi 11:43, 19 December 2011 (EST)
- Not for me, unfortunately, but if you want to get ideas regarding thoughts you've got, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or e-mail me privately and I'll offer my input. -- Mythigator 12:00, 19 December 2011 (EST)
- Well, the log will be posted after the meeting as usual for you to read through. You can give your input after you've read through that of course. For the 20th Century Fox and FOX pages, what we're thinking of is they are kind of mixed up. I feel that 20th Century Fox should be for the actual company, not a list of references as most of them refer to FOX as in the channel. See Talk:20th Century Fox for more info on that. We should come up with a number of references to deserve a page, you can just input that here if you want. The others are mainly about implementation of the templates more than anything. MediaWiki upgrade to 1.19 (picking a date between 2/17 - 2/19 for the downtime)[edit]
The meeting is on 18th, so we need picking up a date before the next meeting. AleWi 16:16, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- Why between the 17th and the 19th? Phinbart - just one of the huge Bart fans! 16:19, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- 19th is new episode - We can't be down then.--Cook879 16:21, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- Ok, why don't we settle on either the 17th or 18th then? I prefer to do upgrades during the weekend because it gives me plenty of time to correct mistakes if any should arise. As you and Solar said, we can't have the site down for the 500th episode. --Jake 16:25, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- I think 17th is the best, as we usually get more traffic on Saturdays. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 17:54, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- I also think the 17th is good. Another point in favor of the 17th is that it'll be a three-day weekend in the USA due to the Presidents' Day holiday on Monday (Feb. 20). Consequently, Monday will be more like a weekend day in terms of traffic volume and upgrading on Friday allows for more time to make sure everything is OK before then. -- Mythigator 19:33, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- All great points. We'll schedule it on the 17th then. (Probably around 9pm Wikisimpsons time if not earlier.) --Jake 20:12, 12 February 2012 (EST)
- I think 17th is a good date, so how long will the site be down exactly? (9pm Wiki time-9pm Wiki time?; 9pm Wiki time - 12pm Wiki time?) A day, 12 hours? Phinbart - just one of the huge Bart fans! 14:19, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- I expect no more than 1 hour if everything goes as expected. The longest part is actually backing up the existing site so we can revert back to it if the upgrade fails completely. After that, I overwrite the MediaWiki files with the updated ones and run the database upgrades which vary in length depending on the size of the database. I'll be posting a notice later this week that should provide more accurate times as to when editing will be disabled, when the site will be disabled, and when everything should be back up. --Jake 14:55, 13 February 2012 (EST)

Meeting rearrangement[edit]
Do you think we could have an editor meeting tomorrow? It's short notice, I know, but we've got a lot to discuss and it is the school holidays, so....? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:54, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- Cook879 is on holiday until the 7th, so we might want to wait longer actually. We'll probably get one more thing max. added to the list between today and April 8th or whatever, so there won't be too much more. I don't mind what time it is. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 12:58, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- Try and get it some point within the next week then. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:15, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- Sunday, Monday? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 14:17, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- I think April 8 would be good. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 14:37, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- After easter is better April 9 or later. /AleWi 15:08, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- If you can't do April 8, AleWi, April 9 should be fine. I can do either, like I said. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 15:17, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- April 9 fits better for me. FatHomerTalk 15:54, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
- April 9 seems best, then. Better change it. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 16:00, 4 April 2012 (EDT)

Leaderboard[edit]
Hi, sorry again for not comming to the meeting. Anyway about the Leaderboard thing, I wanted it for my wiki, so I emailed a mediawiki developer and asked him how much it would cost to rewrite the code of the achievements extensions so it would work for non-wikia wikis, and he replied that it would cost 500 - 700 dollars.FatHomerTalk 20:13, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
- Okay... That's... expensive... | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 04:47, 10 April 2012 (EDT)
