The train engineer is a train driver.

History

He crashed his train into Captain Horatio McCallister's ship after Homer was kidnapped by Louie. He then needed a camera battery, so he ran into the shop Cameras, bought a battery, ran back to his train, and drove off.

When Homer's "D'oh!" caused an earthquake, it broke the train track. The driver said that he had told the people who made it to make the track D'oh-proof.
