The Graphic Hovel was a comic book store owned by Homer and Bart in Springfield.

Bart and Homer sold some of Grampa's old comic books and used the profits to open The Graphic Hovel since it was Bart's dream to run a comic book store. They opened it across the road from The Android's Dungeon, which angered Comic Book Guy. When Comic Book Guy confronted them, he found that they had a copy of Adrenaline Comics #1, which was one of the rarest comic books ever. Comic Book Guy caused a scene in the store and was removed by the police.
On new comic book day, Bart was annoyed that he had to work at the store instead of read comics. Things got worse for him as Homer became more and more like Comic Book Guy. Homer also let Marge have her book club at The Graphic Hovel, which was the final straw for Bart. He went to The Android's Dungeon but found that it had closed down due to The Graphic Hovel taking all of Comic Book Guy's customers.
Bart found out from Grampa that he never actually gave permission to Homer to sell the comic books. This led Bart to come up with a plan and he and Grampa sold all the remaining comics, including Adrenaline Comics #1, to Comic Book Guy for a dollar. Comic Book Guy sold Adrenaline Comics #1 to The Rich Texan and gave the profits to the Springfield Retirement Castle, and The Graphic Hovel closed down, with all the kids flocking back to The Android's Dungeon.
