The Amazing Malai-ze is a maize maze in Springfield made by Lisa Simpson after she won the first prize in the "clean up this town!" competition.
History[edit]
After Lisa won the prize, she was interviewed by the local news station. After Krusty opened the maze, he dared nobody to go into it because they thought they could not get out of there. When this made Lisa decide to go through the maze herself, Bart asked her to bring a GPS, but she didn't take it because she believed it was cheating. After a while in the maze, Lisa became lost and started yelling for help. Homer heard that Lisa needed help and went into the maze to save her, but he also got lost. Marge started searching for them but ended up lost as well. They decided to use Arnie Pye and his helicopter to pick them up, but because Lisa was wearing a costume depicting corn, they could not find her. Lisa became frustrated, fearing that if she never got out of the maze, she would be doomed.
Meanwhile, Bart and Maggie started looking for Lisa in the maze and found her, but Lisa told them that now both of them were trapped in the maze as well. Bart had a solution and declared that they should just go right through the corn, but Lisa refused because she wanted to uphold her honor. However, Lisa eventually became hungry and decided to go with Bart out of the maze by going right through the corn.
Background[edit]
The maze is located in one of Springfield's unsightly toxic landfills. Lisa used Bleeding Gums Murphy as her inspiration. The corn is engineered to grow fast and look good, but it grew in contaminated soil. Ralph Wiggum wanted to cover the toxic field with tons of giant cornballs. To lay out the pattern, Lisa used a rat and cheese after taking help from Professor Frink in the decider deceleration.
