Texas is one of the 50 states in the USA. Its capital city is Austin, and its most populous city is Houston.

History

Miss Texas was a contestant in The Miss American Girl Pageant.

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.

When Marge started to tell a story that was set in Paris, The Rich Texan asked if it was Paris, Texas. He was disappointed to learn that it was set in Paris, France instead.

The Simpson family visited Marfa, Texas to find Philip Hefflin.
