The Organic Pit-based Enjoyment Council, or OPEC, is an organization that specializes in avocados and avocado oil.
History[edit]
Gabriel Razelton of the Organic Pit-based Enjoyment Council approached Homer and Grampa about having the organization sponsor Noodleball. However, they then decided to force Grampa out and aimed the sport at 40 to 60-year-olds instead of seniors. They sponsored a celebrity Noodleball tournament, with former sporting stars taking part.
Lisa convinced Homer to cut ties with OPEC because the organization was using Noodleball to cover up the bad stuff they were doing. One bad thing they wanted to cover up was when a ship carrying avocado oil crashed and spilled oil all over a beach.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The Organic Pit-based Enjoyment Council is a parody of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC.
