Mothra is a Japanese movie monster.

History

In a dream Lisa had, she was sentenced to a lifetime of horror on Monster Island. Mothra was one of the monsters on the island.

When the Simpsons leave Tokyo Mothra attacks their plane, alongside Godzilla, Rodan and Gamera.

In a short film by Guillermo del Toro, del Toro mentioned that Mothra was one of the monsters that he loved.

Behind the Laughter

Mothra is a character in the Godzilla films, though she originally appeared in her own solo movie.
