Mary Sue writes fanfiction starring herself. She then wrote a Harry Potter fanfiction where Harry Potter thanked her for Mary Sue's help in bringing Dumbledore back to life.

Mary Sue was seen by Homer's car when Santa's Little Helper was trapped in there.
