When Marge tried out for the Springfield Spitfires roller derby team, Lisa bought her a copy of Legends of Roller Derby: The Top 50 Skaters of All-Time! as a present. After the tryout, Marge decided to quit because she didn't think she could be aggressive enough for the team and she didn't want to get hurt anymore. Lisa decided to read the book before she returned it to Punkberry and Springfield Roller Derby Museum. When she went to return it, she was surprised to find that Mary Tyler Maul was working there, as she was number fourteen in the list of "greatest roller derby queens of all-time" in the book.
