History[edit]
Homer's Beer Biscuits was one of the recipes in the cooking book Awesome Recipes from Springfield's Iron Chefs.
Ingredients[edit]
- 1 case of Duff Beer
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
Preparation[edit]
Drink a can of Duff. Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Drink half of a can of Duff. Pour the rest of the can of Duff into the mixture. Drink another can of Duff so you won't regret wasting the previous half-can of Duff. Turn out the dough on a lightly floured board. Knead about 1/2 minute. During this 1/2 minute, why not enjoy another Duff?
Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. You'll probably wound yourself with the cutter, so it's time for another wonderful Duff! Place dough cut-outs on baking sheet and bake in 475° f oven 12-15 minutes. Now, open a Duff and wait.
Invite some friends over, but make sure they bring their own Duff. By the time you're done with all that hot and strenuous phone-calling, you'll probably need another Duff. If you forget the biscuits and they burn, throw them out and drink the rest of the Duff. If the biscuits turn out good, serve them with something thirst-quenching. I recommend a cold and friendly stein of Duff!
